For generations, Algy’s family has farmed at Manor Farm – shaping a business that has grown with the land. Today, that story continues through the food we grow, make and share.



The History of The Farm

1931 - Farming at Manor Farm Begins

Algy’s grandfather took on the tenancy from the Earl of Leicester.

1954 - The Second Generation

The farm passed to Algy’s father, gradually evolving from traditional mixed farming into modern arable production.

1986 - Algy Returns to the Farm

After studying Agriculture at Newcastle University, Algy returned to Manor Farm as the third generation to work the land.

2005 - The Farm Shop Opens

The first farm shop began with homegrown bird seed, marking the start of selling produce directly from the farm.

2025 - A New Home for the Farm Shop

Our farm shop moved into its current premises, expanding to offer the wide range of local produce you see available today.

What We Grow

Alongside arable crops, our farm produces seasonal vegetables including asparagus, brassicas, pumpkins and Christmas trees. What we grow changes with the seasons, reflecting the natural rhythm of the land and the year.

Food production

As the farm evolved, so did the way we share what we grow. It began with bird seed, grown, blended and packed here on the farm. From there, we expanded into producing our range of Norfolk Popcorn, popped to perfection in our very own rapeseed oil.

The Farm Shop & Café

Our farm shop and café has grown naturally over time, bringing together produce from our own fields and the best local growers and producers. It’s a place that celebrates seasonal food and the flavours of our region.

Our café serves freshly baked cakes, scones, cookies and sausage rolls every day, alongside a menu that uses local produce wherever possible to create a range of delicious, seasonal dishes.
