THE PUMPKIN PATCH IS BACK
Open from Thursday 1st October
Our pumpkin patch will be open daily from 10am-4pm throughout October, with plenty of homegrown pumpkins ready to pick.
All of our pumpkins are grown here at Algy’s, across two small fields surrounding the Farm Shop. You’ll find a wide range of sizes, shapes and varieties, from smaller decorative pumpkins to larger ones perfect for carving.
Pumpkin Varieties
Discover some of the different pumpkins and squash we grow here at Algy’s, from classic carving pumpkins to colourful seasonal favourites.
Rouge de Tombs
A traditional-looking pumpkin with a deep orange colour and a classic shape, perfect for autumn displays and seasonal decorating.
Crown Prince
A striking blue-grey pumpkin with a rich orange flesh. Great for cooking, soups and adding interest to your Autumn displays.
Sunspot
Bright, cheerful and full of character, Sunspot pumpkins are ideal for seasonal decorating and smaller autumn arrangements.
Porcelain Doll
With its soft pink skin, the Porcelain Doll is a beautiful decorative pumpkin that brings something a little different to the patch.
Polar Bear
With its clean white skin, the Polar Bear is a striking pumpkin that looks perfect in autumn displays with orange varieties.
Mellow Yellow
With its golden-yellow skin, Mellow Yellow is a bright and cheerful pumpkin that adds a bold pop of colour to the patch.
Kabocha Squash
With its dark skin and sweet orange flesh, Kabocha Squash is a great display choice that's also ideal for roasting and soups.
Turk's Turban
With its unusual turban-shaped top and vivid striped skin, Turk's Turban is an eye-catching pumpkin that adds character to the patch.

Free Entry! No Booking Required
There’s no need to book and entry to our pumpkin patch is completely free. Simply turn up, choose your pumpkins and pay for what you pick.
How to Pick Your Pumpkins
Collect a wheelbarrow from the wooded area next to the farm shop and pick pumpkins until your hearts content!
Dogs in the Pumpkin Field
Dogs are welcome in the pumpkin field but must be kept on leads. Please clean up after your dog during your visit.
What to Wear
Wellies or sturdy boots are recommended, especially in wet weather. Please make use of our welly wash before entering the Farm Shop or Café.
Parking
During half term and the weekend of 17th-18th October, the main car park area will be pedestrianised. Accessible parking will still be available alongside the grain store.
Please take care when driving on site and follow the directions of our car parking attendants.
Food & drink
Open weekends in October, and every day during half term
Make a day of it this pumpkin season. Tuck into wood-fired pizzas, burgers and bacon baps, then treat yourself to homemade cakes, cookies and traybakes. Coffee and hot chocolate are on hand to keep you warm!
